Meet The Photographer

Hello! I'm so glad you have found your way to my blog. The blog will feature all sorts of fun stuff like wardrobes and color palettes for sessions, FAQ, behind the scenes, session experiences, and all sorts of client and photographer content.

I touched on how I ventured into photography on the home page of my website, but I would like to touch on what kind of photographer you will get when you book a session with me. On the day of your session, I'm an easy going happy go lucky, "Let's capture some great emotions" type of photographer; but until then, I am a type A, have been working on your session since the moment you contacted me, type of photographer. As a Type A kind of artist, I obsess over details and perfection. This means, by the time your session day arrives, you can be assured, you will receive the best service and some amazing portraits!

I love to prepare for sessions. I prepare by planning out posing, prompts to get real emotions, researching locations, searching for the outfits for birthday and milestone sessions, searching for the perfect backdrop and props to bring to life what you may have had a hard time putting into words.

During your session, it's all about the fun and the interactions. You may find me goofy, although I'm hoping you'll find my arsenal of jokes very comical. My goal is to connect with my clients during their session and to get family members to have a good time connecting and interacting together.

A little about my personal history, I was born in Washington, D.C. As a child, we moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1985. I began my career in healthcare just out of high school. I relocated to West Palm Beach, FL to continue my healthcare career where I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Health Services. I went on to get certifications in Coding and Medical Record Auditing. In May of 2015, my family vacationed to Pueblo,CO and Colorado Springs, CO to visit family. I couldn't believe the beauty. It was a wonderful experience for this Florida girl to see these immense mountains for the first time. A few months later, the health plan I was working for restructured due to changes in Medicaid and my position was eliminated. We decided to take a huge leap and make the move to Colorado. I finally had the opportunity to pursue photography........and here I am.

Some things you would never guess about me:

* In Florida, before my husband and I had children, we had two mini horses - Shera and Pepe, a little bit of a wild horse - Sheridan, and a herd of goats- McGoaterton, Goaty, Chico, Curly, and Marly.

* I love to roller skate.

* We married in Jamaica.
